Friday, Michael had to take an exam in Colorado Springs, so we all headed down to see Garden of the Gods and eat a picnic lunch with my cousin Anda.
Originally I had planned to tour the remains of Indian cliff dwellings at Manitou Springs and ride up to Pikes Peak that afternoon. However, the girls all came down with ear infections and were not feeling well. Gabi actually requested a nap instead of further exploration, so we cut our activities short.
We spent the rest of the weekend at my cousin Ashley's house. On Saturday, we walked to their neighborhood playground and played a version of tag called "alligator."
Ashley and Patrick are Bella's godparents. Their son, Joseph, is Bella's age, and their daughter, Katelyn, is Katarina's age. The girls were all glad to have downtime to play with cousins (and their many toys!) after a busy week of exploring Denver, especially since they were all feeling sick.
