Autumn Art

In November, Gabi started an art class with her piano teacher. We discovered that Gabi is a great artist! She creates something new each week, and she drew all of these herself.

In her first class, she drew a watercolor panda, and in the next class she drew the Eiffel Tower with pastels.

The dogs are a poodle, a pug, a dalmatian, and a "regular dog" (according to Gabi).

Here's a picture Gabi colored back in August:

Bella's teacher sent home some of her artwork in August for us to save as a comparison with the end of the year. (The first picture in Bella's August art is of "breakfast.")

I also scanned in these drawings that Bella made at preschool in October. I love the tree with a falling leaf!

  1. Wow!

I am very impressed by both girls' drawings! The 3D perspective in Bella's "Breakfast" is consistent and surprisingly well-done. The 3D perspective on Gabi's fireplace is also very surprisingly well-done!

Gramma Jane and I were wondering: are Gabi's drawings traced or drawn with references? Regardless, they are wonderful and I really enjoy them.

Thank you, girls, for making this art and sharing it with us!

  2. Gabi's art is not traced; it is all her own original work. Her art class does include step-by-step verbal instructions, from what I understand.
