Welcome, Katarina!

Katarina Lillian was born about 4 AM on March 2, 2010. Her birth date in numbers is 3-2-10, which actually also describes her birth: so fast that we didn't even have time to get into the car, let alone reach the hospital! Thus, Daddy had the privilege of being Katya's first pediatrician.

We then called 911 to transport Mom and Baby to the hospital while Dad waited for grandparents to come watch the two big sisters before following the ambulance. Once we arrived at the hospital, it seemed that everything had already happened and there wasn't much left to take care of.

Lolo and Lola took care of getting Gabi and Bella to preschool and then brought them to the hospital to see their new baby sister after school. Both girls were very excited to be big sisters and hold the new baby. All of these pictures are from little Katarina's first day. We also like to call her Katya or Kätchen (pronounced Kate-chin, but the t-ch sound is soft, almost like an sh).
