This Spring, Gabi played on her first soccer team: the Panthers. Practices and games were just at the bottom of our hill, so it was very convenient.
Bella loved watching Gabi play soccer and really looks forward to being able to play herself when we move to Denver. Bella also insisted on wearing a dress to all the soccer games so she could be a princess.
Gabi's soccer Saturdays were all cold and windy, but with all the thunder storms and tornadoes we had in April and May, we were lucky that only the very last game was rained out.
At the end of the season, Michael drove from the hospital straight to Gabi's award ceremony, only to pose for a picture and give Gabi a high five before he had to head back to work. What a dedicated Daddy!
Thanks to Coach Tori for giving the kids a great first soccer season and teaching them your love for the game. Gabi certainly enjoyed it!

ReplyDeleteSome wonderful pictures! I can't wait to play some soccer with Gabi (and Bella) when they come to Texas for Uncle Scott's wedding!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!!!! Now I have someone to share my trade secrets with! :) When you make it up to Seattle again (notice I said when...I'm optimistic), you can watch your old Tita play. Ha! Congrats Gabi! Way to go!

ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome that Gabi is involved with this! I remember our town had a soccer league for young kids too. I always loved watching them, especially all 22 players hovered around the ball. :)
It was great seeing you guys at the reunion. I'm really glad we got to catch up. Good luck with your move!
