Gabi's Afternoon with Daddy

After a chilly, rainy weekend, the sun came out for a gorgeous Monday. Bella was exhausted by lunchtime, so I had to take her and the baby back to the hotel for an afternoon nap, but Gabi and Daddy stayed on campus with their skates, the wagon, and the camera. Michael caught some awesome candid shots, and Gabi took to posing without prompting.

Michael told Gabi about each statue they came across, and Gabi later recounted a few points of the University history to me. Of course, we're not brainwashing our children. (Go Irish!)

Upon our return home, Gabi wrote a journal entry about her favorite part of her vacation:

Her solo afternoon with Daddy just wandering around campus with no agenda or timeline was the highlight of her trip. In the picture, she drew herself riding in the wagon and skating. I also asked her what her favorite place on campus was, and she said, "the flowers by the lake."
